And on the eighth day,
the shoes came off.

Born neither of sea foam nor marble, but somewhere considerably less glamorous.

For years, they walked among us. Uncelebrated. Sensibly covered. Then, in a moment scholars would later describe as “having too much free time,” a camera was pointed downwards.

What followed was not a movement. It was barely even a step. And yet, here you are.
